Gymnastics is not just a sport but also a passion. Those who want to become a gymnast should offer one hundred percent dedication, guided by a world-class mentor.She is an international judge and coach and has been awarded the Shivchhatrapati Award, one of the most prestigious sports awards in the country.The International Gymnastics Federation has certified her as an international coach, where she completed the four levels of coach training by scoring 70% in level one in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in September 2017 and then level 2, by scoring 69% where she secured a second position. Since then, she has worked as a coach in Rhythmic gymnastics in various institutions such as Samartha Vyayam Mandir, Rajiv Gandhi District Sports Complex and Oberoi International school.She also represented India as an international Rhythmic Gymnast in places like Sofia, Belarus, Tashkent in Uzbekistan the prized Queen's Cup in Hongkong in 2016. As a judge, she has been accredited as the judge by the International Gymnastics Federation. Also, she has been recognized as a judge by the Gymnastics Federation India. She has represented India in international competitions in places like Delhi, Moscow, Belarus, and Qatar.She has also taken part in various national games an events, in one of which she ranked 2nd which was National Games in Ranchi. She has been the senior champion for the state in the year 2011 where she won 6 gold medals. Also, she has been the senior state champion in the year 2010, when she won 4 gold and 1 silver medals. To add another feather to her cap of achievements, she has been the junior state champion for 3 years in a row.

Self-defence is not just an art, but also a skill that has become important than ever. To impart this knowledge, one needs highly qualified masters who have decades of experience. Mr. Kamal Singh is one such coach we are fortunate to have in the DSCBKC. He is a 3rd Dan Black Belt with almost 28 years of experience. He trained under the leadership of Hanshi Vispi Kapadia who is one of the top-ranking martial artists in India. Currently, he works for All India Gojukai Karate-Do, the main governing body of the topmost Karate Institution in Mumbai.His abilities include hands-on Karate training, one-on-one coaching, leadership, teaching large groups of students and giving hands-on training practically. He provides teaching to both basic levels as well as expert level students. He has been awarded the Judge and Referee Certificate from Maharashtra Karate Association. Currently, he is teaching for a reputed school like HVPD Global Academy for the past 6 years.

Michael Phelps is passionate about growing the sport of swimming and encouraging more children to learn the sport. As a child, he learned to swim in a school in North Baltimore. It was there that he learned water safety and overcame his fear of water. After a lot of accomplishments, both in and out of the water, Michael Phelps is able to invest in the very program that taught him. This is a program that he fully supports and believes in. This swim school gives Michael a direct opportunity to reach his personal goals in taking the sport further, while giving back to the community. Rhythmic gymnastics needs discipline, perseverance and most importantly, a rock-solid will. We at DSCBKC are fortunate enough to have young mentors like Sadichha Kulkarni in our team.She has been working as a coach since 2013 in Mumbai’s Rajiv Gandhi Complex, besides also coaching in Bombay Scottish School and Andheri Sports Complex. Currently, she has 100 gymnasts training under her guidance, of which 25 have already competed in the district, state, national and international championships.She has represented the Indian team as coach in various international competitions in places such as Sofia in Bulgaria, Minsk in Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. She also represented India in the Queen's Cup in Hong Kong and also in one invitational competition held in Malaysia where the Indian team bagged a bronze medal.Recently, she has also been recognized as an international judge by the International Gymnastics Federation for Rhythmic Gymnastics. Before that, she was recognized as a national judge and has been recognized as an honorary judge at district and state level sports.In 2018, she conducted the National Level Rhythmic Gymnastics course and exam which was conducted by Gymnastics Federation of India.Between 2007 and 2010, she has participated in 5 international competitions. Since 2008 to 2012, she has participated in 6 competitions.

Rhythmic Gymnastics has emerged as a popular sport for women since the past two decades. However, it requires to have a competent mentor such as Disha Nidre, who has many feathers in her cap. You can find her in DCSBKC.Disha Nidre is one of the top rhythmic gymnasts in India. She has participated in a good number of rhythmic gymnastics competitions, both national and international. She was awarded the Shiv Chhatrapati Rajya Krida Puraskar for rhythmic gymnastics on 17th February 2019. She also represented India in the 8th Senior Rhythmic Gymnastics Asian Championships held in Uzbekistan. From 2013 to 2018, she has represented India in international venues such as Brasilia, Malaysia, Minsk, and Bulgaria. Till date, she has won 174 gold, 85 silver, and 20 Bronze medals, totaling to a total of 279 medals. On national level championships, she has won 55 gold, 26 silver, and 11 bronze medals. She also represented Maharashtra in Kerala National Games in 2013.She has also been selected for Mission 2020 Olympics in Japan. Also, she has been selected for Children of Asia, Russia. Nidra ranked 3rd in the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia. She also ranked 4th in Asian games trials in the Asian Games.

Taekwondo is no cakewalk and especially for those who are beginning from scratch. Taekwondo requires discipline, hard work, focus, and most importantly guidance. Only masters like Siddhesh Kiran Ghag from DSCBKC can bring that to the table. Siddhesh Kiran Ghag is a Taekwondo instructor from Mumbai, India. He is the owner of Winner Taekwondo Academy and is well experienced in the said martial art. Siddesh Ghag has coached thousands of students during his career as a Taekwondo Master, who have won positions in international Taekwondo competitions.

The role volunteers cannot be underestimated, especially when they come from totally disparate profession. The dedication and hardwork he put into becoming a professional is tremendous. We at DCSBKC are fortunate enough to have mentors like these. Mr. Salim Khan is one such football coach working for us.Is an independent soccer coach and a social entrepreneur. He began his career as a marine engineer and eventually moved to work as a professional coach for KNFC players. He is credited with over 20 wins for girl’s football matches. From 2015 to 2016 he has been promoted from 3rd Division Team to 1st Division team in 2017-2018.So far his teams have participated in 14 championships across the nation, out of which the teams under his mentorship have emerged victorious in 8 matches. Since 2010, he has been the Team Manager for KNFC, while at the same time performing his duty as a marine engineer from 1993 to 2016.His skills can be summarized as football coaching, team leading, mentorship, leadership, and strategy.

Rhythmic Gymnastics is fast catching up as a mainstream sport in India. We at DSCBKC provide highly competent coaching for rhythmic gymnastics. We have no dearth of high-quality coaches in our organization. Beginning in the year 2005, Jahnvi Deepak Vartak has won several awards such as the Jilha Krida Puraskar and 2017 Prerna Puraskar. She is an international level player for Rhythmic Gymnastics and a national level medalist. She has also acted as a district-level, state-level, and a national-level judge. Till date, she has won 28 gold, 42 silver, and 13 bronze, a total of 83 medals.So far in her endeavors in the district-level championships, she has participated in 11 championships.Her most illustrious record lies in her participation history as a rhythmic athlete on a state-level where she participated from 2008 to 2019 in a total of 14 championships.Her achievements as a rhythmic gymnast are remarkable. In the year 2018, in the 24th Rhythmic Gymnastics National Championships held in Bengaluru, she won 2 gold medals. In 2019, she participated in the Selection Trials for the Asian R.G Championships where she achieved 1st rank in Group Exercise. So far she has participated in 11 national level championships.From the year 2016 to 2018, she has participated in 5 international championships in all.Currently, she is coaching in the Bombay Scottish High School. She teaches more than 30 students in the age groups below 8 to above 16 years of age. Her accomplishments as a coach have been enormous. 25 of her students participated in the Mumbai City District Championships. In the same competition for the year 2015-2016, 6 of her students won silver medals. In 2018-2019 for the Mumbai City District Championships, 5 of her students won silver medals.

Times have changed. Now sports are not seen as pleasure activities, but full-fledged careers. New India looks forward to producing world-class sportsmen. However, this needs young and energetic people who take the initiative and found sports academies. Jay Jhaveri is the co-founder and partner of 5 Sports. He graduated from the Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics in Mumbai and since then has worked in his ancestral family business of selling diamonds and jewelry. However, apart from being a successful businessman, he is also an avid squash player. The squash academy in India was set up under his guidance and expertise and since then has trained 150 children, 10 assistant coaches, and other fitness professionals. Jay wears many feathers in his cap since he has been also involved in various other sports such as badminton, horse riding, surfing, and trekking.
